How to connect Kraken to QARI

    Log in to Kraken

    Go to kraken.com and sign in to your account.

    Open API Settings

    Click your account name (top-right) → "Security" → "API" tab.

    Add a new API key

    Click "Add key". Give it a descriptive name like "QARI Trading".

    Set key permissions

    Enable "Query Funds", "Query Orders & Trades", and "Create & Modify Orders". Do NOT enable "Withdraw Funds".

    Copy Key and Private Key

    Kraken provides an API Key and a Private Key. Copy both immediately, the Private Key is shown only once.

    Paste into QARI

    In the QARI dashboard go to Settings → Exchange → Add Exchange → Kraken → paste your API Key and Private Key → Save.

QARI encrypts your Kraken API Key and Private Key with AES-256-GCM before storing. Neither credential is ever logged or returned to the frontend.

Kraken API Permissions Tip

Enable Query Funds + Query Orders + Create & Modify Orders. Never enable Withdraw Funds. Kraken calls the secret credential a Private Key (not "Secret Key"). Save it securely, it is shown only once. Kraken is available to US residents in most states.
