    Log in to Coinbase Advanced

    Go to advanced.coinbase.com or switch to Advanced Trade inside the Coinbase app.

    Open API Settings

    Click your profile icon → "Settings" → "API" tab.

    Create a new API key

    Click "New API Key". Select "Trading" as the key purpose.

    Set permissions

    Enable "View" and "Trade" permissions. Do NOT enable "Transfer" (withdrawal). Restrict to Spot trading products only.

    Copy Key and Secret

    Coinbase shows the private key / secret once. Copy both the API Key and API Secret immediately and store them securely.

    Paste into QARI

    In the QARI dashboard go to Settings → Exchange → Add Exchange → Coinbase → paste your Key and Secret → Save.

QARI encrypts your Coinbase API credentials with AES-256-GCM before storing them. Your key never appears in QARI's logs or frontend.

Coinbase API Permissions Tip

Use Coinbase Advanced Trade (not the basic Coinbase consumer app) for API access. Enable View + Trade only. Never enable Transfer (withdrawal). Coinbase Advanced uses a different API system from the legacy Coinbase Pro API, ensure you create a key in Advanced Trade settings.
